About Us
Since 1865 Sparta Fire Department has adapted and grown from a four-man Fire & Flue committee to a thirty-member roster utilizing some of the latest equipment and technology for an all-hazards world.
Our Mission at Sparta Fire is to prevent the loss of life and control or reduce the loss of property by applying all of our professional knowledge and resources. We will accomplish this mission through fire suppression, rescue, code enforcement, public education, fire investigation, and professional development training
What We Do
Fire Prevention
Through programs like the “Be Alarmed” program as well as annual building inspections, we move to help our community prevent catastrophe.
Fire Education
Through public education in schools and throughout the community we push the public to be safer and prepared for emergencies.
All Hazards Response
From fires, to vehicle incidents, to hazardous materials situations, our trained members are ready to respond for the community.
