Twice per year we get to adjust our clocks for a fun little thing called Daylight Savings Time. In the spring, we set our clocks forward an hour. In the fall, we set them back 1 hour.
That same time schedule, if you don’t do it already, is a great time to replace the batteries in all of your smoke detectors.
It is also a good time to test them to ensure that they are working properly. This can be done most often by pressing and holding the TEST button on the smoke detector (this may vary based on manufacturer documentation).
Daylight savings time is rolled back THIS SUNDAY, November 4th 2018! Change your clocks, change your batteries.
Remember, fire prevention and safety begins with you!
